According to UNE 216501:2009, an Energy Audit is a sistematic, independent and documented process for obtaining evidences in a organization with the purpose of:

  •  Get a reliable energy consumption and the associated cost
  •  Identify and characterize the factors that affect energy consumption
  •  Detect and evaluate different saving opportunities, improve the efficiency and energy diversification and its impact on energy and maintenance cost and other benefits and costs associated

Therefore, the objectives to be achieved with an energy audit are:

  •  Make an inventory of existing equipment and facilities and know its performance and efficiency
  •  Knowledge of the energy situation general and critical points
  •  Reducing consumption 
  •  Reduced spending on electricity and fuels
  •  Reducing emissions
  •  Analyze the possibility of using renewable energy
